Self-Love Yoga and Meditation Workshop

This 2-hour workshop will focus on the energy of the Heart and its role in self-love.

The heart is considered to be the keystone of the energy body.  It is the heart through which we develop love and compassion towards ourselves. Opening the heart opens us up to the potential for connection that loving ourselves and others creates.

This workshop will connect you to your heart and your capacity for self-love and healing through yoga, breath and heart-centred meditations.

In this workshop, we will guide you through:

  • Yoga and Movement
  • Breathwork to direct heart energy
  • Yin Yoga Postures for heart opening
  • Guided visualisation
  • Loving Kindness meditation

The information in this course will be accessible to all participants of all level and capabilities.

When:

Sunday the 27th of May 2018
11 am – 1.00pm (2 hours)
*Please arrive 10 minutes early as doors will be locked once the class begins with no late entry.

Suitable for:

Anyone aged 12 and over.
Yoga postures, movement & breathwork will be taught at a beginner level in this workshop.

What to Bring:

Comfortable clothing that you can move in.
A water bottle.
Mats and props are available to use at the studio.
Your mat or any other personal props you like to use.

Your Teacher:

Kinesiology Melbourne, Kinesiologist Kristen RossKristen Ross is a qualified kinesiologist, counsellor, yoga and meditation teacher who has worked with the mind-body connection through movement for over ten years.
Kristen enjoys integrating Purna and Yin Yoga styles as well as meditation, dance, pranayama (breathwork) and philosophy into her workshops focusing on the benefits of mindful yoga and movement for emotional health.
Kristen’s teaching style is integrative, nurturing and accessible for all participants with an emphasis on compassion in practice.

Kristen runs a private kinesiology practice in Melbourne and has experience facilitating dance, yoga and meditation workshops and for groups, individuals and organisations. She has spoken about the mind-body connection at events such as the Mind Body Spirit Festival and Evolve Yoga Festival.
