There are so many different types of meditation and knowing where to start can be confusing.
This 1-day intereactive workshop will help you understand how you can make meditation work for you.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn the four key types of meditation.
- Focused / Concentrative
- Open monitoring
- Discover which meditation techniques best suit you and how you can apply them in your daily life.
- Structure your personal meditation experience to help you:
- Calm your mind
- Improve concentration
- Think clearly
- Fall asleep deeply
- Enhance your relationships
This interactive workshop is a great place to start if:
- You are new to meditation
- You want to understand meditation better.
- You want to build on already developed skills
- You want to transition from guided practices to practices you can do anytime, anywhere.
You will leave feeling confident and empowered to start meditating on your own at home (or wherever suits you).

What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing that you can move in.
A notebook and a pen to take notes and journal in throughout the day.
Your lunch (or purchase from a nearby cafe).
A water bottle.
Mats and props are available to use at the studio. If you already have a specific meditation set up, please bring any accessories you need to support you.

Kristen Ross is a qualified kinesiologist, counsellor, yoga and meditation teacher who has worked with the mind-body connection through movement for over a decade.
Kristen’s teaching style is integrative, nurturing and accessible for all participants with an emphasis on compassion.
Kristen runs a private kinesiology practice in Melbourne and has experience facilitating yoga and meditation workshops for groups, individuals and organisations. She has spoken about the mind-body connection at events such as the Mind Body Spirit Festival and Evolve Yoga Festival.
