Anahata, Heart Chakra Yoga Workshop

Love yourself.

In this 2 hour workshop you will be introduced to the Heart chakra, the vibrational centre through which we develop compassion and self-love on an epic personal journey towards enlightenment and self-realisation.

The goal of the workshop is to activate and balance Anahata energy through chakra philosophy, yoga asana, meditation and breath-work.

In this workshop you will be introduced to:

  • Philosophy and psychology related to Heart chakra energy
  • Meditation to awaken and balance the energies of Heart chakra
  • Yin and Yang (Purna style) yoga postures and movement to activate the Heart chakra
  • Pranayama to direct your Heart chakra energy through breath

When we work with Heart chakra we address issues including:

  • Self-love
  • Compassion
  • Kindness towards self and others
  • Self respect
  • Unity and Connection the sense that we are all one.
  • Healing
  • Relationships
  • Breathing concerns
  • Physical tightness in the chest and shoulders

The information in this course will be presented in a modern, western context, the postures and techniques taught will be accessible to all participants.

Suitable for:

Anyone aged 12 and over.
Yoga postures will be taught at a beginner level in this workshop.

What to Bring:

Comfortable clothing that you can move in.
A notebook and pen.

Your Teacher:

Kinesiology Melbourne, Kinesiologist Kristen RossKristen has been a vibrational medicine practitioner working with chakra energy and psychology for 10 years.
Kristen was a professional dancer and has been a yoga practitioner for over 12 years. Her yoga teacher training is in Purna and Yin Yoga and Anatomy styles.
Kristen’s interest in yoga goes beyond the physical asana work and into the metaphysical aspects including meditation, breathwork, philosophy and the energetics of the chakra system. Her teaching style is functional, integrative and accessible. Kristen believes that everyone can access the the benefits of working with yoga, movement and the chakra system.
Kristen runs a private kinesiology practice and has facilitated workshops and for a number of organisations. She has spoken at events such as the Mind Body Spirit Festival and Evolve Yoga Festival.
