How Kinesiology can help to treat headaches and migraines.

Kinesiology is a being used with much success to address headaches and migraines stemming from stress, toxicity, muscle tightness, hormonal imbalance, head and neck injuries and energetic blockages.

As a holistic therapy, kinesiology looks at all issues associated with headaches and migraines which include nutrition, the bodies physical state, one’s emotional state and energy flow around the body.

By utilising modalities including Muscle Testing, the Inner Traditions of Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Nutrition, Flower Essences and Exercise therapy including stretching and corrective exercise prescription Kinesiology can provide practical solutions to help decrease the frequency and duration of headaches.

Muscle testing techniques are gentle and non-invasive and will focus on the areas of the head, neck and jaw to find out where there are imbalances in the muscular system. We may also incorporate a postural assessment to determine how we can best support your body through corrective exercises and stretching.

If headaches are a result of toxicity or nutritional deficiencies we will determine what dietary changes need to be made to help the body recover and detoxify.

Kinesiology treatment for headaches and migraines is complementary and can be used in conjunction with Western Medicine, Acupuncture and Naturopathy treatments.

Suggested treatment plan.

When treating headaches or migraines with the help of kinesiology I recommend:

  • An initial 90 minute kinesiology consultation followed by 3 – 5 standard consultations 1 -2 weeks apart.
  • Further follow-up standard consultations should be spaced between 2 -4 weeks apart or booked as needed.
